The Oeuvre has always incorporated the latest techniques available at the time to create its own conservation tools. These are precious statements of the state of the cathedral, and also of the techniques used over the years. This body of information includes original statues preserved at the Œuvre Notre Dame Museum, moulds, plans, templates, library records and a collection of photographic plates from the 19th century. This material also requires a specific set of conservation techniques.
