Generations of sculptors, masons and master stone cutters from the Oeuvre Notre-Dame have carried out successive restoration and repair works, using skills which have been handed down over the centuries, which continue to be used to this day. This wealth of accumulated knowledge alone represents a vast inheritance, with specialist skills which remain vibrant, and a structured training system, ensuring that they continue to flourish and develop.
