Acquired in 1832 by the Notre Dame Cathedral Foundation, on behalf of the City, the 292 recorded and preserved panels were, in part, re-installed into the cathedral (102 sections in 1862). Some of the 14th and 15th century stained glass windows which were fitted into the two north-east bays and the Saint Laurent Chapel.(small panels depicting Christ and His life), and the nine vaulted windows located in the gallery of the cathedral chevet. Others were stored for future use.
