Since March 2003, restoration of the spire has been going on. This includes the ornaments, the metal supports, the lightning conductor, and the lead covering of the horizontal surfaces.

As master of the works for masonry-works and stone masonry the Fondation de l'Œuvre Notre-Dame ensures the high quality of the restoration, and is supervising the remaining works.
